i just love the month of october and i love halloween! this past month was filled with halloween activities. i went to the haunted mill in rexburg with a large group of friends. it was super scary, but not nearly as frightening as the haunted house i attended the next weekend in salt lake city. it was called nightmare on 13th street and has been rated number one scariest haunted house in america by travel channel! it was forty-five minutes of pure terror and i can't believe i made it out alive! i guess i hadn't been scared enough because the following day we went to lagoon frightmares. it was a blast! i was a scuba diver for halloween this year. my costume was fun. it even had live gold fish in the tanks. i had an awesome halloween and i hope everyone else did as well!! :]

I also got a special halloween surprise...pictures from daniel!! hurray!! he got transferred to a new area, and is continuing to do well. i can't believe how fast time is flying by! i will get to talk to him on the phone is less than two months!! i miss him and love him!

a couple weeks ago i purchased some hair extensions. i haven't ever had extensions before, but they are pretty fun. my brother-in-law probably enjoyed them the most though!!

i absolutely love the fall and all of the fun activities that accompany it! i truly enjoy school and i love being a college student. work has also been a blast. i love all my kids. life is great!

summer has officially ended and school has officially started! i truly love this time of year, and i really look forward to attending school and going back to work. it's only the first week of school and i'm already swamped with things to do! my classes are all math and sciences. each class is going to require lots of studying and hard work, but i think i can handle it! i also went back to work for the after school program again this week at indian hills elementary. it is a blast! i loved seeing my kids again from last year and it's always exciting to meet the new kids. they're all absolutely adorable! the first day of school at after school adventures is always crazy. i was trying to get everything organized and meet each kid. an adorable second grader walked in and introduced himself. i told him my name and explained that we were happy to have him apart of the after school program. he quickly replied, "hhhmm....you're a pretty cute teacher!" me and my co-worker thought it was super funny. later in the day we were taking all of the kids outside to play. i was holding the door open as each kid left the room when this same little second grader turned and said, "thanks, hottie!" hahahaha! it was hilarious! i come home from work every day with silly stories about my kids. they say the funniest things. my job only motivates me even more to succeed in school and become a teacher! here's some pictures from the last week of summer and the after school program last year....

daniel has been gone for seven months today! he has been transferred to a new area called dunkerque. he seems to really enjoy the area and his new companion. i got a letter and some pictures from him yesterday! it sounds like he's really doing great, and having some fun along the way!

the moisture pocatello and eastern idaho have received this year has been such a blessing in so many ways, especially for BOATiNG!! my family and i have certainly enjoyed the full reservoirs this year. we have gone boating at least once a week and sometimes more. i love everything about it and i will definitely miss it when the summer ends. i have made so many memories boating and i know there are many more to come!

daniel and i have officially been together longer than we will be apart! we have been together for three years today! i'm so grateful for daniel and i couldn't be happier to have him in my life! we have been through so much together the past three years. he's the best ever! i got my birthday package from him on saturday finally. he sent me a shirt, chocolate, pictures, and a tape! i loved it all. i miss him and love him! here's a picture from our first date and the cover of his photo album i made him for his mission....

daniel has been serving for six months today! i'm so happy and proud of my elder spicer! it is truly an accomplishment to make it six months. he is such a great missionary and i think he is really loving the work of the lord even though it can be very tough. daniel is such a great example to me and i know i have been blessed to have him in my life. i love the opportunity i have to share this special time in his life with him through letters, tapes, pictures, and emails. i'm looking forward to the next year and a half and the many adventures that will come for the both of us! goooo daniel! hahahaha.

this past week my family rented a cabin on bill's island in island park. we spent the entire week boating, dirt biking, and driving through yellowstone national park. it was so much fun, but it wasn't the same without daniel there! he came with us the past two years and we certainly missed him this year! it was really great to spend some time with my entire family though. we were also there on my birthday! i'm officially nineteen. this is my last year as a teenager, so i better make the best of it!

my graduating class of 2008 from highland high definitely went our separate ways after graduation last may. the majority of my classmates moved away from pocatello, including almost all of my closest high school friends. it has been good for me to make new friends, but i'm often looking forward to holidays or special occasions when my high school friends come home to visit. this week has been a special treat because almost all of our high school gang has been here for the week. it is always exciting to hear about everyone's "adult" lives, but then we soon realize that we're all still the same crazy kids!

my sister and brother-in-law moved to nampa, idaho last week. we spent the weekend with them in their adorable new apartment. it was really fun to see them and explore boise a little bit. brandon got a new job there and it looks like it is going to be great for their future together. i'm very excited for them and look forward to spending more time in boise. this is a picture at lake lowell...a future location for many boating trips i'm sure!!

this weekend i was able to celebrate the marriage of my cousin, kristopher! he got married in the rexburg temple. it was gorgeous....from the outside. haha! i look forward to the day i'll get to go inside for myself! it was really fun to see and spend the day with my family.

memorial day was a very exciting day, we got our boat out for the first time this year! it was a beautiful day, but the water was super cold! i also seemed to have forgotten that sunscreen exists. i came home and soon realized i was extremely sunburnt...

my main purpose and goal of putting myself through years and years of school is to hopefully become an elementary school teacher. while going to school i work at indian hills elementary for the after school program. i truly love it. my co-worker is awesome and the kids are constantly making me laugh. this week we put on a talent show for the parents. we were trying to come up with something that all twenty of the students could perform together...so we decided to have them make their own sock puppets and lip-sync to bohemian rhapsody, by queen. this is one of our practices...

i also got an awesome letter from dan today!! i got my first pictures from france! he is doing amazing and it looks beautiful!

this week was finals, and i couldn't be more happy that my first year of college is finished. i had a great school year, and i spent an awesome weekend with my family to start off the summer. my older brother, ryan, graduated from i.s.u. yesterday in political science. i'm so proud of him, and a little bit envious! haha. both of my older siblings have now graduated from i.s.u., which motivates me even more to do my very best and someday have my turn to walk across the stage!

i have also really been enjoying the beautiful weather. i think spring has finally decided to come to pocatello. it wouldn't be spring at the sargent house without one of our three cats have kittens, and one did! she had four little boy kittens that are absolutely adorable....until they grow up! haha!! my sister and brother-in-law informed my family of some very exciting news as well. my sister, hollie, called my parents and said they would be in pocatello at seven o'clock with good news! we were all very curious and had a little suspicious. my mom instantly assumes that my sister is pregnant! she hurried to the store and bought a newborn outfit. she was positive that she would be ahead of the game. around seven the grinning couple arrived. they came inside looking very happy and excited. we all sat down and hollie said, "well, we wanted to tell you that we're going to have a new addition to the family..." she then opened her purse and pulled out a PUPPY!!! it was hilarious. they named him duke and he is very hyper. my mom did feel a little embarrassed and had to return her baby outfit to the store. haha!

today is mother's day and i want to wish every mommy a happy day! i got to go to the spicer's house this morning to talk to daniel. it was wonderful! he only had about forty five minutes, so we talked to him on speakerphone with everyone. the last about five minutes his family let just him and i talk though. i loved it! he is so great! he even has a little french accent. i loved hearing his stories and everything. i miss him and love him! :]

on friday one of my bestest friends, katie kirkham, got married! she married shaun stokes. they both were a big part of our super fun highland 10th branch. katie was our excellent relief society president and so we knew when she got engaged all of us ladies needed to lay low until the new presidency was announced! ...i must not have laid low enough! i got set apart today as the 2nd counselor in the relief society presidency! i'm really looking forward to growing closer with all of the girls in the branch, but i can't help but blame this new calling on shaun. haha! no, it will be great! i'm always looking for something to keep me busy while daniel is gone and i think this will do the trick!

daniel flew out from salt lake to georgia and then to belgium yesterday! he got to call me in each airport! it was so much fun to hear his voice after two long months. he sounds great, but he's feeling a little nervous about leaving the m.t.c. i also got a package full of goodies yesterday. in the package dan sent a c.d. of all the pictures on his memory card. they were really fun to see and it still had a few photos from our trip to texas and his setting apart. he sent a tape too. on the tape he bore his testimony in french and it was really cool! i love having such a close relationship with a true servant of the lord. i'm so proud of him and i feel like we have both been waiting for him to actually go to belgium forever! he is and will be an outstanding missionary and i look forward to hearing from him now that he is out in the field.

this week was spring break. i went up to sun valley with a couple of friends in our rockin' mini van! we packed a cooler of food, crashed at a friend's, and skied all day long! it was a blast and the entire trip was less than fifty dollars, which makes it all the better! i had never been to sun valley and it turned out to be a beautiful place and the mountain was much bigger than our little pepple creek! it will certainly be a spring break to remember!

daniel got his flight plans! he leaves the mission training center on monday, march 30th. he is getting really excited. I can't believe he's been gone for two months today...only twenty two to go! but who's counting. Haha! i am super pumped to talk to him on the phone on monday. it will be nice to hear his voice! it has been so fun having him out there and he is a great example to me. i truly love hearing from him! i got another letter and pictures today. belgium here he comes.

daniel has been gone for six weeks today! it has been so fun to hear from him. he is doing really well and the language is finally starting to come. i'm so excited for him. i have already learned so much from him and we have become even closer through our letters. daniel has been much better at writing than i ever imagined...or expected! haha! i already have a binder full of letters from him. this past monday i received another letter and pictures. i thought i would share a few...
